Our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our biological functioning.
In other words, our minds can affect how healthy our bodies are!
Conversely, what we do with our physical body (what we eat, how much we exercise, even our posture) can positively or negatively impact our mental state. This results in a complex interrelationship between our minds and bodies. To improve both mind and body, Heartland Counseling Services has partnered with local providers that offer in-office or local services.
Examples of how our mind (anxiety, depression, stress, guilt, etc.) affects our bodies:

Yoga Classes and Wellness Service Schedule
Class sizes are limited. To reserve your place during any of the classes, please submit your payment for the class to Carrie through her Venmo account: @carrie-pruett-6
Carrie will also accept cash at the door. She cannot guarantee a space without signing up for the class ahead of time. You can also text Carrie (712- 261-1150) prior to a class to check on availability.
ALL LEVELS BASIC YOGA
12:00PM Thursday
All Levels Basic Yoga: postures are practiced to align and promote strength and flexibility in the body. Participants choose their own level at which to practice each pose, so it is perfect for beginning yoga students of all levels. The main focus is connection of the mind, body, and spirit. No experience necessary.
WELLNESS SERVICES
1pm-4pm Thursday
In addition to yoga, Carrie offers individual wellness services including trigger point therapy, Gua Sha, and Reiki.
