My Approach
I take a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach to counseling, focusing on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I work from a strengths-based perspective and aim to help individuals build insight, resilience, and practical coping skills. My work is guided by evidence-based practices, ongoing supervision, and a commitment to cultural humility and ethical care. I strive to honor each person’s unique story and partner with them in meaningful, empowering ways as they navigate life’s challenges.
I am under the direct clinical supervision of Daren Jaques, LMHC
Note: Counseling Services Provided by Interns
Heartland Counseling Services is proud to support the next generation of mental health professionals. Counseling sessions with our clinical interns are offered free of charge as part of their supervised training experience.
Because interns are at a specific stage in their clinical development, all referrals are screened by licensed supervisors to ensure that each client’s therapeutic needs match the intern’s current competencies and areas of training. If at any point a client’s needs fall outside an intern’s scope, a licensed clinician will be recommended to ensure the highest quality of care.
Our goal is to provide accessible services while maintaining ethical, competent, and client-centered care.
